New York Redstone Film Festival

The Redstones at Boston University is the premier showcase for student work created in production classes in the College of Communication’s Department of Film & Television. The New York City festival is primarily an alumni event and offers BU alumni in the New York area the opportunity to view the finalists and winners from the Boston festival. This year’s panelists include Brandon T. Bodow (COM ’06), producer for ABC’s Good Morning America; Chiemi L.Karasawa (COM ’90), director/producer of Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, and producer/founder of Isotope Films; Pammy Salmon (COM ‘99), writer for Sesame Street English, Super Wings, Martha Speaks, Super Why, and Pinky Dinky Doo; and Joshua Z. Weinstein (CGS ’03, COM ‘05), indie director of photography/director for numerous films screened at Toronto International Film Festival, SXSW and Tribeca Film Festival. The New York Redstones will be hosted at the Viacom Theatre in Times Square. The event will provide a unique opportunity for students to showcase their films to other members of the BU network.
