Cuban painter Ramón Alejandro: “Origins Dependent on Brushes and Pens”

  • Starts: 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014
Ramón Alejandro is one of the most important Cuban painters of his generation. Alejandro’s art manifests the paradoxical marvelousness of Cuban fruits and landscapes, projecting eroticism in the face of both abundance and destruction in the New World. His talk will center on the influence of Western art and literature as well as Eastern Philosophy on his work.
