Some Quick Notes

August 21st, 2013

The school year is beginning. RAs are on campus, Orientation is getting ready for Session 7, and Student Activities is training the students who will put on fantastic programs. Here are two quick notes for you to keep in mind as you return to campus.

– Gender Neutral Housing – The University has approved a gender neutral roommate selection plan beginning this fall. You can read about the plan – and engage in a spirited discussion on the topic – on BU Today.

– Unlicensed Taxis – There have been two attacks involving unlicensed taxis this summer. Taxis are a good way to get around Boston – and we want you to take time to see the city. We’ve posted some tips for avoiding a unlicensed taxi around Boston. The Boston University Police Department (BUPD) also sent an alert to all students, faculty and staff via email with important recommendations.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance. See you soon.
