I was writing to inquire how I should best plan a trip that involves the George Sherman Student Union……which train station or how to get there from Logan Airport as well as Hotel options in the vicinity. I have a mobility impairment and walk with assistance of a walker. Thank you for the information. Carole Hayes Collier

My son is an undergraduate and I have been to campus for several large events including parents weekend, new student orientation, etc. I have always been impressed by the tour of the giant pipe organ in the union building but have never heard the instrument play one note in two years of visits. Does it work? If it does, when is the next time it will be played and how do I get invited? Please advise. Thank you.

To whom it may concern:
I was hoping to get a table within the GSU or just outside on Comm. Ave. within the first few weeks of school. If there is a different office or administrator I should contact, please let me know.
What I would be advertising is mattress pads to go over the distributed beds in dorms. The company is Capitol Comfort, an affiliate of Vanguard Mattress.

Thank you for your time

Well, I can tell you that it was played for the processional and recessional at the CFA convocation this past May. What a beautiful instrument!

GSU have a conveniently located post office in the lower area. Their clerks in are nice & kind.
Unfortunately they told me that October 2nd is their last day. All the customers of this place will miss this post office very much and especially on winter.

Just to let everyone know, the Post Office in the GSU is still open. They are on the list to be closed. No date has been scheduled yet.

Glad you visited and like our organ. You can find more information here: http://www.bu.edu/bostonia/web/organ/
We play the organ periodically. Your question has motivated us to look for creating an organ series and publishing a schedule. We’ll look into it.

This post is great! Google loves it…I found it by searching for “BU Post Office.” However, it looks like there isn’t a post office in the GSU anymore. Perhaps an update is in order for this post…

The folks at the GSU pointed me toward the Kenmore square PO location. Awesome service as usual from the folks at BU!!!!
