Section 508
Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities. The Center for Information Technology Accommodation (CITA), in the U.S. General Services Administration's Office of Governmentwide Policy, has been charged with the task of educating Federal employees and building the infrastructure necessary to support Section 508 implementation. Using this web site, Federal employees and the public can access resources for understanding and implementing the requirements of Section 508.

This site provides an array of resources--from online and downloadable
tutorials designed to help create accessible web content, to tools
designed to help
organizations build capacity to maintain electronic accessibility.
EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information)
Web pages can be created using Universal Design principles permitting
their use by people with different browsers, different connection
speeds, palm pilots, PDA's and by people with disabilities using
adaptive computer technology. This is an EASI Starter Kit to
help individuals utilize design principles that will provide access
to web pages for people with disabilities.
The HTML Writers Guild

at WebAIM (Web Accessibility in Mind), a project at the Center for
Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University.
A-Prompt (Accessibility Prompt)
A-Prompt (Accessibility Prompt) has been developed to assist Web
authors in improving the accessibility and usability of HTML documents.
