ETDs Workshops: Registration
In 2013-14, all GRS, GMS, and STH students who are required to submit a thesis or dissertation will submit their work to the Libraries electronically. No more paper theses and dissertations will be accepted from these schools by the BU Libraries. Electronic theses and dissertations will mean savings for students (no costly printing) and for BU (more economical management of preservation and access).
We have made available a guide to submitting electronic theses and dissertations, as well as a series of videos walking students through issues that frequently come up. In spring 2014, we are offering Q&A sessions for questions that come up after perusing the available information online. Please note: unlike in previous semesters, during these sessions there will NOT be a presentation walking you through the material. These sessions are conceived as venues for troubleshooting specific problems that you have already tried to address yourselves.
The workshops will take place on both campuses, so when you register below, please pay particular attention to the location.
What to Bring: The Charles River Campus sessions will take place in a computer lab equipped with PCs with Microsoft Office 2010 installed on them, and Macs with Microsoft Office 2011. If your troubleshooting questions involve your dissertation files, please bring copies of those files. If you are working on different hardware and/or software and wish to bring in a laptop, you are welcome to do so.
This service applies to you if you are a:
- GRS student graduating in May 2013 or later
- GMS student graduating in January 2014 or later
- STH student graduating in May 2014 or later
If you’re in these cohorts and would like to attend a workshop, please register using one of the forms below!
