Life in academe seems to flourish when there is freedom to challenge the assumptions of what we know. Little in our world is untouched by our digital culture. Recent conversations have emerged around the very practices and assumptions that inform how we do our work. The Office of Digital Initiatives & Open Access works to draw attention to and provide a forum for conversations about academic life, particularly as it is affected by digital technologies. It does this by hosting events to allow the BU community to engage these issues and by  drawing attention to voices debating the issues in a  wide range of media. Below are links to conversations taking place both on campus and beyond about peer review, tenure & promotion, scholarly communication, and open access.
