Ward’s Berry Farm- Farmer’s Choice Boxes
Sponsored by Boston University Dining ServicesAbout our Farmer’s Choice Boxes:
Boston University Dining Services is sponsoring Farmer’s Choice Boxes, the fourth annual Ward’s Berry Farm CSA (community supported agriculture) available to all students, staff, faculty and the community. The Farmer’s Choice Boxes are a great opportunity to purchase local fruits and vegetables straight from the farm, with a convenient pickup on campus – the GSU Plaza.
Since 1982, brothers Jim and Bob Ward have been growing wholesome fruits and vegetables on their family farm, Ward’s Berry Farm in Sharon, MA, using IPM (Integrated Pest Management). Farmer’s Choice Boxes reflect the diversity of their harvest, which ranges from strawberries, blueberries and peaches to arugula, award-winning tomatoes and butternut squash, mostly picked on market day or the day before.
Depending on individual consumption, a box typically feeds 2-4 people. Several purchasing options are available: Full Season Share, Late Season Share, and Week By Week. See below for details. For more information or to purchase your share, please visit here.
