HIPAA Training

Every faculty, staff, student, and resident at GSDM, regardless of whether they are regularly exposed to patient records, must complete online training once each year:

• Go to www.bu.edu/link
• Click “Document ESignature”
• Log in using your BU login name and your Kerberos password
• Click on “HIPAA Security Rule”
• Start by reviewing the “Information Security Awareness Presentation”
• Go back and click on the “HIPAA Security Rule Workforce Training”
• At the end, click “I acknowledge” to certify that you have completed and understand the material
• Re-enter your BU login name and Kerberos password to complete your certification
• Your certification will be electronically recorded and forwarded to the dental school
