Order in the BU Bookstore after 4/30/12	$95

Cap and gown rental orders can be placed online through March 15, 2012 for in-store pick-up which begins on April 22.  The complete doctoral package if ordered online prior to March 15 is $85.  If you do not place your order by March 15 you will need to go to the BU Bookstore starting on April 30 to order. For those who place their orders in the BU Bookstore starting on April 30, the rental price will be $95.  Please note that all rentals must be returned to the BU Bookstore prior to May 24 to avoid late charges, and transcripts will be withheld by the University from any student failing to return rental items.

Graduates may purchase custom-made regalia by making an appointment for a fitting with the General Merchandise Department at Barnes & Noble at Boston University.  To ensure that your academic dress arrives by Commencement, orders for custom-made regalia must be placed by March 4, 2012.

Please note: all pre-doctoral candidates will have a red gown with three lilac stripes on the sleeve. All post-doctoral students will have a black doctoral gown with three black stripes on the sleeve. All hoods should have a lilac trim.
