Payment Procedures

Dental care services offered by the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) clinics and Dental Health Centers costs considerably less than services provided by most private practices. Fees for general and specialty treatment areas are different, and the total cost of your treatment plan can be discussed with your treating dentist.

Payment for all out-of-pocket costs is expected when services are rendered. We accept:

• Cash
• Personal checks
• VISA, MasterCard or Discover

At this time, payment plans are not available for services rendered by GSDM.

We currently participate within the Approved Network of Providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Delta Dental Insurances. You will only be responsible for paying the percentage of fees not covered by your specific plan.  For patients who have another Insurance Plan, please make sure to verify with your insurance company to see if it will accept the GSDM Clinic or Dental Health Center as your primary care provider. We, GSDM, as an “out of network provider”, will ask you for full payment of services at time of treatment and then upon completion of your treatment, we will aid in the process of submitting the appropriate insurance claim form in order for you to be appropriately reimbursed. Our Finance Office is available to help explain the entire process and work with you so that the experience is as smooth as possible.
