GSDM Dean’s Advisory Board Member Joins Alumni Council

GSDM Dean’s Advisory Board member Dr. Mina Paul SPH 96 is expanding her involvement with Boston University with her latest role as a member of the Boston University Alumni Council (BUAC). Paul will attend her first official meeting of the BUAC in October 2023.

Paul has had a wide range of experiences with BU – ranging from her own studies at SPH and Questrom School of Business to her daughter’s experience as a student at Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies – Paul said she has been impressed with how much value she has been able to contribute to the university as an alumna. She said she is eager to bring her perspectives to the BUAC to support BU and GSDM’s continued growth.

Students in the Doctor of Dental Medicine Class of 2027 and the Doctor of Dental Medicine Advanced Standing Class of 2025 were formally welcomed to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine during the Professional Ceremony on July 28 on Talbot Green. The Professional Ceremony was the culminating event in a week of informative and inspiring matriculation activities.

GSDM Puts Community First During BU Global Days of Service

The Boston University Global Days of Service is a widely anticipated annual university-wide month of community service opportunities that encourages students, residents, faculty, staff, and alumni to give back to their local, national, and international communities.

Real Patients, Real Stories: Mother and Daughter with Dentinogenesis Imperfecta Share Their Experiences as Part of GSDM Rare Patient Seminar Series

In the latest GSDM Rare Patient Seminar Series, Criss Quigley and Ann Quigley, a mother and daughter duo who both have the rare dental disease dentinogenesis imperfecta, spoke to GSDM students about their lives with the disease and the legislative change they are hoping to obtain. The seminar series was created by Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Yoshiyuki Mochida in order to humanize uncommon oral-related diseases, giving dental students a one-of-a-kind exposure to real patients.
