Patient Treatment Center

Clinic 1Comprised of 10 group practices each led by 2 faculty group practice leaders, the predoctoral Patient Treatment Center will feature 100 state-of-the-art Patient Treatment Rooms.

Clinic 2Located on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors, the Patient Treatment Center will be a brand-new, open, light-filled space. Learn how to put your name on one, and see who else has claimed a room of their own (only 57 rooms remain unnamed).

Student & Resident Lounge

Student LoungeAt present, the Rubenstein Building does not present students and residents many spaces in which to study and rest between classes and appointments. Our new building will have a comfortable student and resident lounge in a convenient location on the first floor.

Main Patient Waiting Area

Waiting RoomDesigned to be a relaxing space, the main patient waiting area will have small seating clusters with ample power outlets and charging stations. The space will also feature flat-screen televisions and a prominent “donor wall” where supporters of the building project will be recognized.

The Simulation Learning Center

SimLabThe Simulation Learning Center will be relocated from 650 Albany Street to the Rubenstein Building. This space gives GSDM students the best virtual patient care experience possible in a nonclinical setting. Students actively practice real-world patient care procedures, not simply traditional preclinical technical procedures.

Main Auditorium Classroom

Large ClassroomDesigned to seat 140 in a flexible arrangement, accommodating lecture format, work groups, and continuing education, the main auditorium will be a vibrant state-of-the-art learning space. Located adjacent to open student, resident and faculty collaborative areas and the GSDM café, the auditorium and adjoining spaces will enhance continuing education programming, including symposia, lectures, and alumni events.
