Deadline for AS
CAAPID becomes available on the ADEA website in March for applications for admission in the following calendar year. Close review of Advanced Standing DMD applications begins following the seating of the prior year’s class in late July; we recommend submission of the complete CAAPID application by August to allow Admissions ample time to review an applicant’s qualifications. Interview invitations are issued throughout the admissions cycle from September through February. Please note that due to processing requirements, CAAPID will release your application to the dental schools a few weeks after your materials are received.
January 1 is the CAAPID application submission deadline for Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Earlier submission of the application is strongly recommended.
Electronic application record
Application records are maintained electronically. The electronic CAAPID application includes the applicant’s academic history (scanned ECE course-by-course transcript evaluation), and letters of reference (also called letters of evaluation, or recommendations). The CAAPID application includes fields for self-reported NBDE results and TOEFL scores.
Submission of the supplementary Boston University application and fee is online (see above). If an applicant wishes to submit a resume or CV with updated information after submission of the CAAPID application, we request that the document or PDF be emailed to email@example.com. Official TOEFL scores and NBDE Part I results should not be submitted to Admissions until the applicant is invited for an interview.
If an applicant is invited to interview, he or she should arrange for the testing agencies to mail official NBDE Part I and TOEFL results to Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Advanced Standing DMD Admissions. Any materials submitted become part of the applicant’s record and will not be returned.
