GSDM Shows Its Holiday Spirit at the 2016 Christmas in the City

On Sunday, December 18, 2016, 41 members of the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) community volunteered at the annual Christmas in the City event at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. This was the 28th annual holiday fete, which began as a small event for mothers and children in Boston area homeless shelters, but has now grown to over 5,000 attendees with 3,000 volunteers. Stacy, a young Brandeis student was recently treated by Dr. Pushkar Mehra DMD 95 OMFS 99 and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). On Saturday, November 19, 2016, 31 children from 19 families received extraordinary preventive and/or restorative dental services from 10 Pediatric Dentistry residents and four AEGD residents at the Henry M. Katie O’Shea is the newest addition to the Office of Development & Alumni Relations of the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). She joined our school on October 17, 2016. Prior to coming to GSDM, Katie worked at Jobs for the Future, a non-profit organization focused on workforce development.
