This year, Dean and Mrs. Jeffrey W. Hutter started a new end-of-summer tradition at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) – a hot dog barbecue! On Monday, August 28, 2017, students, residents, faculty, and staff from the entire GSDM community convened on the patio outside 100 East Newton Street to enjoy a traditional hot dog barbecue on what turned out to be a perfect summer day.
Chequers Café at the Boston Medical Center catered the event. All of the traditional fixings for a gourmet dog were available; onions, relish, cheese, chili, sauerkraut, ketchup, and mustard. In addition to the hot dogs, black bean veggie burgers were also available for our vegetarian and vegan patrons.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first end of summer barbecue,” said Dean Hutter. “Mrs. Hutter and I very much enjoyed hosting everyone, and look forward to continuing this tradition next year as we show our appreciation to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine community for all their hard work and support.”
