New Faculty Member Dr. Mamoru Tanaka Recognized as Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics
A new member of the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine faculty, Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry Dr. Mamoru Tanaka was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics in March 2012. In recognition of his Board Certification, Dr. Tanaka was presented with a certificate and a diplomate pin at the American College of Prosthodontists Annual Awards and President’s Dinner in Baltimore on November 2, 2012.
As a Board Certified Prosthodontist, Dr. Tanaka has met the criteria of demonstrating specialized skills in prosthodontics, commitment to life-long learning and ethical practices, and dedication to fostering positive relationships with his patients.
Dr. Tanaka received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Nippon Dental University, Japan, in 2004. He received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Esthetics in 2008 and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthodontics in 2011, both from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tanaka has been a member of the American College of Prosthodontists since 2008 and a member of the American Dental Association since 2007.
Regarding his Board Certification, Dr. Tanaka said, “It’s a great achievement. It’s an experience I believe any young prosthodontist should go through as it is very rewarding professionally and personally.”
