Message for MSD Parents

The Deaf Autism Research Project will be traveling to Maryland School for the Deaf in Spring 2013. We will be collecting data from Deaf children of Deaf parents between the ages of 4-13, to use as a comparison to deaf children with autism. Each child will participate in a series of sign language tasks using a computer, and the total testing time will be 2 hours, spread out over two days. We encourage parents to consider allowing their children to participate in this important project, which will help us understand how autism affects ASL acquisition in deaf children.

If you are the Deaf parent of a child enrolled at MSD between the ages of 4-13, and you would like your child to participate, please fill out the online informed consent form and screening form.
