The Community Liaison Committee
The governance structure for the NEIDL consists of several committees including a six-member Community Liaison Committee (CLC) to promote public participation and transparency during construction and operation of the lab. CLC members provide outreach and feedback to facilitate information flow between the NEIDL and the community. Chosen through an open, self-nomination process and launched in June 2006, under the CLC guidelines (PDF) members meet quarterly and serve without remuneration for staggered two-year terms.
The members of the CLC are:
- Dolly Battle, Roxbury
Glen Berkowitz, South End
Christopher Brayton, South End
Michael Kozu, Dorchester/Roslindale
Ana Salas, South End
Sandra Silver, South End

In 2007, the CLC sponsored a series of educational forums to answer questions and address community concerns about the NEIDL. Click here to view some of the materials presented at the forums.
