Matthew Pecci, M.D.

Dr. Pecci is an Associate Professor in Family Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, the Medical Director for Sports Medicine at Boston University, and the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine at Boston Medical Center.  He is active in medical student and residency teaching and works as the director of Boston University’s Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship and the director of the sports medicine and orthopedic curricula for the Boston Medical Center Family Medicine residency. Under his direction primary care sports medicine physicians from Boston University provide medical coverage for athletics at Boston College, MIT, UMass Boston, Pine Manor College, Cambridge Ringe and Latin High School, Chelsea High School, and numerous Boston Public High Schools.  Dr. Pecci has covered many large-scale athletic events, including the Bay State Games, the Boston Marathon, AVP volleyball, USA gymnastics, and has served as the medical director for several Boston area triathlons. Dr. Pecci is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed his residency at the UCLA Family Medicine Residency Program and a fellowship in sports medicine at Ohio State University. He is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine.
