The Department of Earth Sciences offers programs leading to the MA and PhD degrees in Earth Sciences. The program prepares students for careers in academia, applied research, state and federal agencies, and positions of responsibility in private consulting businesses. These degrees emphasize original research in an area of expertise, under the guidance of a faculty advisor within the department.
