8/18/09 We are happy to announce that Dr. Nima Shokri, an experimentalist in soil physics studying under Professor Dani Or of EPFL, will join our faculty in January 2010!
Dr. Shokri is one of the several new faces to join our department over the last few years. Other recent hires include: Matthew Jackson (mantle geochemistry and magmatic processes), Robinson Fulweiler (marine biogeochemistry), Paul Hall (geodynamics and geophysics), and Colleen Dalton (seismology and geophysics).
5/18/09 Congratulations to the Class of 2009!
10/17/08 Emily Carruthers (Class of 2009) received first place for the Best Student Poster Presentation at the 11th Annual Boston University Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Symposium. Emily worked with Professor Duncan FitzGerald on a project that looked at the formation and evolution of Plum Island, MA.
9/24/08 Raul Brens (B.A., 2008) has been awarded an American Geological Institute - Minority Participation Program Scholarship.
