Projects in the Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory explore how ordinary listening environments that contain multiple, competing sound sources, echoes, and reverberation influence spatial hearing and other aspects of auditory perception. A variety of methods are employed, ranging from acoustical and behavioral measurements to analytic and computational modeling. Some of the current areas of investigation include spatial plasticity, hearing in rooms, source segregation, auditory displays, and computational modeling.
