What is a Translational "Partnership"?
A mutually beneficial program for BME, WHCF and Industry to improve patient care and accelerate the delivery of healthcare technology from academia to the marketplace.

What are my responsibilities as an awardee?
  • Meet objectives (including budgeted expenses) and deliverables outlined in your application.
  • Prepare Detailed Project Plan
    • Provide a broad one year overview
    • Detailed quarterly pro-forma project plans (presented one month ahead of next quarter)
  • Project Tracking
    • PI monthly progress report
    • Monthly review of science
    • Quarterly review of total project (IP, etc.)
  • Participate in Mentorship and Best Practices Meetings
    • Project Presentation and Experience Sharing Forum
  • Identify Problems and Issues Early

Who is eligible?
  • Co-PI 1 is a permanent, full-time, tenure track primary or secondary BME faculty
  • Co-PI 2 is a clinician scientist with patient responsibilities
  • Oversight Committee members may NOT apply for funding
