Research Interests
- Motor control of normal and abnormal muscles
- Objective assessment of functional activities in humans
- Advanced technology for detecting and applying biosignals
Current Research
Dr. De Luca focuses on the application of engineering principles to the understanding of motor control and the development of objective patient treatment procedures. Specifically, his research addresses questions relating to: (a) control properties of human motor units during voluntary contractions, (b) muscle fatigue, (c) assessment of functional activities.
