The Department of Biomedical Engineering is affiliated with other departments at Boston University, and a number of medical institutions in addition to the Boston University School of Medicine, and a wide variety of private and public industries. The department's affiliations have resulted from consistent and fruitful research collaborations at the individual faculty level through graduate students training in the context of project work.
