As you are aware, at the Town Meeting held by Dean Antman to discuss the
mission of the Basic Science Department Review committee, three subcommittees were identified, of which one was centered on Graduate Education. This subcommittee, consisting of David Atkinson, Stephanie Oberhaus, Dan Remick and myself, has formulated a short questionnaire to get your input on issues of core skills, compentencies, and knowledge that
we expect our graduate students to acquire during their tenure at BUSM.
Please download the file and either email it to Irina Arakelyan at iarakelyan@cajal-1.bu.edu or fax it to her at 84216.
All responses will be confidential. The committee will simply collect the collated data. Also, any and all comments are welcomed - and will also be confidential unless otherwise indicated.
NB:
1) The questionnaire is intended to get a broad sense of the faculty - nothing is binding. We will come back to all of you with a proposal based on the findings and discussions with the parent committee.
2) Each of the skill and knowledge domains listed in the questionnaire do not necessarily translate into a course per se. There may be other means by which they can be presented, or they might be combined in various other ways.
