Psychological and Neuropsychological Testing and Assessment
Individual psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluation for adults, adolescents, and children are available at the Institute, with test batteries tailored to specific needs. Each includes a detailed summary report with specific recommendations, referral sources, and follow-up consultations as appropriate.
The Danielsen Institute also provides a wide range of psychological assessment services for seminarians and those seeking candidacy to ordained ministry or religious life. Assessments are designed in collaboration with the student or candidate’s religious denomination or community and are individually tailored to the needs and concerns of the group.
Assessments generally include the following:
- Psychological test inventories
- A modified clinical interview
- A detailed summary report, with specific recommendations and referral sources, when appropriate
- A follow-up review of the assessment impressions with the candidate
- Ongoing consultation with the candidate and/or the vocation director
The assessments are designed not merely to screen for the existence of certain psychological problems but to capture a comprehensive and balanced understanding of the candidate’s general psychological condition. In this regard, focus is placed upon the use of psychological assessment for the candidate’s overall emotional and spiritual formation.
Fees for the assessment are determined on the basis of the specific type of assessment used.
