Devising Your Mentoring Plan

Mentoring plans, sometimes referred to individual development plans, are now required by many federal agencies to support graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. However, so often these plans stall in their implementation, becoming more of an administrative item than a framework to support productive mentoring relationships. In this workshop, faculty learned to develop comprehensive mentoring plans and put them into action, with a tour of the resources, tools, and templates that can benefit both faculty and their trainees.
