Background
Julie Stamm received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin 2009. She spent the 2010-2011 school year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Boston University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Anatomy and Neurobiology from the Boston University School of Medicine. Julie joined the CSTE in January 2011.
CSTE Role
Julie is a graduate researcher at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy. She is involved in all the of the CSTE’s clinical research studies including the Brain Donation Registry, the LEGEND study, CONTACT, and the DETECT study.
Research Interests
Julie is interested in studying how the anatomical features of CTE correlate with the clinical symptoms of the disease and how repetitive brain trauma (RBT) leads to the development of CTE.
