News Announcement from Gallaudet University ‘s The Deaf Studies Digital Journal:
The Deaf Studies Digital Journal is pleased to announce the release of the 3rd issue. The theme of the Spring 2012 issue is Linguistic Human Rights, Bilingualism, and Sign Language Planning. With over 60 contributors from numerous countries, this is the largest DSDJ volume to date! Viewers are invited to explore the many academic articles in ASL, International Sign, and one in Swedish Sign Language, along with numerous commentaries and interviews on issues of critical concern to sign language users throughout the globe. In addition, DSDJ features poetry, storytelling, film, video, visual art, reviews and community announcements from the sign language community.
The 3rd issue also unveiled improved features. The overall presentation of DSDJ can be enlarged by clicking on the bottom right “enlarge” button; further, the Visual Art and the Film & Video sections can be viewed on an enlarged viewing screen. In addition, viewers can more easily search past issues according to contributor and section, and the addition of an Index in html format allows links to specific articles to be forwarded and cited. Feel free to forward individual links to spread the insights of Deaf Studies scholarship and creative activity.
