Branch Out connects students with opportunities to learn about and be stewards of Boston’s urban ecosystem. Volunteers will engage in service for the people, plants, animals, and public spaces of Boston while building community on campus and in the city.
Branch Out aims to work with a wide variety of organizations and projects throughout the greater Boston area. Service opportunities will be paired with weekly or biweekly educational discussions that address related topics and supplement hands-on learning. Interested volunteers will have the opportunity to help plan these meetings for their peers based on topics they are passionate about.
Some organizations we have worked with in the past include COASTSWEEP, Boston Nature Center, The Esplanade Association, Save that Stuff, and Bikes not Bombs.
Service projects include beach cleanups, tree planting, invasive species removal, clam monitoring, and more.
No experience is required and we hope to provide a range of weekly and one-time opportunities that accommodate a variety of interests.
