The Smart-city Cloud-based Open Platform & Ecosystem (SCOPE) will develop cloud computing–based services and products to solve urban problems ranging from traffic congestion to dirty air with a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
The CS department maintains printing resources throughout its various locations for the use of its members. Additionally, a printing quota is enforced to ensure proper access and limit wasteful printing.
Printing from Linux
Users logged into a Linux system have two options for printing files.
- They may print via the application (if the application provides for it) that created it. This is usually through a print menu option.
- They may print using the lp or lpr commands.
Printing from Microsoft Windows
Printing from machines running Windows is handled by the application the user is working with. Printing from a Windows machine is still subject to print quotas.
