Professor Saenko and Research Team Win Most Innovative Solution at CVPR Conference

Professor Kate Saenko and her students Huijuan Xu and Abir Das won the prize for the Most Innovative Solution on the IEEE Large Scale Activity Recognition Challenge, which was held as part of the IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR). The Large Scale Activity Recognition Challenge, as described here, “focuses on recognizing high-level and goal oriented activities from user generated videos, similar to those found in internet portals.”

Professor Saenko and her work at BU were the subject of a nice review in the program for the CVPR conference; read the profile in CVPR Daily here.

Congrats, Kate, Huijuan, and Abir!
