Online Seminar Description

The online seminar lectures are designed to help participants to acquire the knowledge needed to perform the skills of Developing Readiness, an initial intervention as part of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation approach.

The online lectures will include information and tips for performing each of the steps of the skills of Developing Readiness. The download format of the Protocols from the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner Tools: Developing Readiness will be linked within each of the online lectures, which are designed to guide a practitioner through each of the skills of Developing Readiness. While the online lectures explain how to create activities for developing readiness, the download format of ready-made activity descriptions and resource guides for developing awareness about recovery,Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner Tools for Develop Readiness self, environments, rehabilitation, and mental health services and supports will be linked within the last lecture.

If desired, a printed version of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner Tools: Developing Readiness may be purchased for an additional $525.00, plus shipping.

Intro to Rehabilitation Readiness

A recommended textbook also may be ordered through the Center's online catalog, called Introduction to Rehabilitation Readiness. This book begins with a brief overview of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The research background and context for the concepts involved in both assessing and developing psychiatric rehabilitation readiness are discussed.

It is anticipated that seminar participants will achieve the following goals:

  • Participants will be able to describe the principles of Developing Readiness.
  • Participants will be able to perform the skills of Developing Readiness to use with the people for whom they provide services.

Requirements

After participating in the online seminar, participants will be required to pass a 20-question test with 70% or better in order to earn 10 PDP Hours for this online seminar. PDP hours may be used for continuing education purposes. Send the completed test to the address above to:
