Online Seminar Description

The online seminar lectures are designed to help participants to acquire the knowledge needed to perform the skills of Achieving Valued Roles, the third part of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation approach. The technical skills of Achieving Valued Roles will be covered as well as the interpersonal skills of the process.

The online lectures will include information and tips for performing each of the steps of the skills of Achieving Valued Roles. The download format of the Activity Descriptions from the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner Tools: Achieving Valued Roles will be linked within each of the online lectures, which are designed to guide a practitioner through each of the sessions for Achieving Valued Roles with an individual or with a small group of participants. In addition, the download format of examples and worksheets will be linked within each of the lectures.

It is anticipated that seminar participants will achieve the following goals:

  • Participants will be able to describe the principles of Achieving Valued Roles.
  • Participants will be able to perform the skills of Achieving Valued Roles to use with the people for whom they provide services.

Requirements

After participating in the online seminar, participants will be required to pass a 50-question test with 70% or better in order to earn 30 PDP Hours for this online seminar. PDP hours may be used for continuing education purposes. Send the completed test to the address above to:
