
Internet Courses
System Requirements for Participation
There are some basic hardware and software requirements which are recommended
for adequate participation in the PDP Internet Courses and Online Seminars.
A PC (Pentium, Celeron, acceptable) or comparable Macintosh (G-4, I-Mac
acceptable) with the following:
- Minimum Hardware requirements
- PC
- Windows operating system (98, NT, ME, XP, etc. acceptable)
- 32 MB of ram
- ethernet card or 28.8 kbps or better modem
- Macintosh
- Mac OS 9.0 or greater
- 32 MB of RAM
- ethernet card or 28.8 kbps or better modem
- Minimum Software requirements (both Mac and PC)
- Netscape 5.0 or better / Internet Explorer 5.0 or better
- A valid, accessible email account
- World Wide Web access
Although not required, a printer may be helpful to read course readings
offline at your own time.
If your computer is not up to the task for
the PDP Internet Courses, you may choose one of the other methods
of accruing PDP Hours from the distance
learning options. Unfortunately, the PDP program cannot lend or
provide computer hardware or software for participation in the distance
learning options. The technical support provided by the PDP program
is limited to difficulties accessing course materials. For questions,
