
Books + Tests: Consumer
and Family Discount
Individuals
with psychiatric disabilities and their family members ordering a single
test are eligible for a 20% discount on the
Books + Tests. The discounted fee for each test is $100 $80.
The 20% discount also applies to books, see specific prices below.
Orders from agencies and organizations, including mental health agencies
and consumer organizations, are not discounted.
You may register
at any time and return the test at any timethere are no time requirements
at all.

Materials
and Costs
Each area
of study includes a book and an accompanying test of 50 questions pertaining
to the information presented. The test
prices for the Professional Development Program are $5 per credit
hour; therefore, the cost for each 20-hour credit course is $100.00 $80.00 plus
the additional costs of required books and shipping. While more
than one individual may use the materials, each person must submit
a separate registration
for the related test.
Procedures
for Registration and Certification
- To register
for the Professional Development Program, click the "Add to Cart"
button or use the registration
form to order the test(s) and the materials that you need for the
area(s) of study for which you are interested.
- Boston
University will send out the instruction letter, any books needed, and
the competency test.
- After
reviewing the materials and taking the test, return the test to the
Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation for scoring.
- If your
score on the test is at a level of 70% or better, a certificate will
be sent to you indicating that you have completed that area of Professional
Development Program study, and that you have been awarded the designated
number of PDP Hours.
- Your PDP
hours will be kept on record in our database.
