The Center
for Psychiatric Rehabilitation is hosting the following four workshops
on April 12-15, 2004: “Innovation in Recovery & Rehabilitation
at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation,” “Reclaiming
Lives: What Professionals Need to Know about Assessment, Planning,
and Treatment for People who Appear to be Stuck on the Road to
Recovery,” “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: The
Use of Photovoice to Facilitate Empowerment,” and “What
Professionals Need to Know About Families.” All workshops

SELF-DETERMINATION & MENTAL WELLNESS CONFERENCE: CALL
FOR PAPERS
The National
Research & Training Center of Psychiatric Disability of the
University of Illinois at Chicago in collaboration with the Florida
Self-Directed Care Program at the Institute for Health & Human
Services Research at FSU are currently accepting paper and poster
submissions for the “Mental Wellness: A Journey of Self-Determination
& Choice through Medical Educational, and Legal Partnerships”
Conference. The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended
to March 31, 2004. The Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida
on June 30-July 2, 2004. For more information on the Conference

article entitled “Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service Needs
of Women” published in the Fall 2003 issue of the Psychiatric
