PRAISE FOR NEW BOOK BY ROBERT GARY NEUGEBOREN
Robert
Gary Neugeboren’s book “The Hillside Diary and Other
Writings” is a collection of his diary entries, selected
letters,
and poems over a period of many hospitalizations. The book, just
published in January 2004, has already received much praise. Wally
Lamb, author of “I Know This Much is True,” says “‘The
Hillside Diary’ gives a gift to those of us who seek to
better understand.” Joanne Greenberg, author of “I
Never Promised You a Rose Garden” calls the book “A
valuable addition to the growing body of first person psychiatric
accounts that will lead the way to a deeper understanding of the
struggles of psychiatric patients and of the struggles of their
caregivers.” To find out more information on this book,
