NEW BOOK PROVIDES INFORMATION ON FINDING &
STARTING SELF-HELP SUPPORT GROUPS
"The
Self-Help Group Sourcebook: Your Guide to Community &
Online Self-Help Support Groups" published in 2002 by the
American Self-Help Group Clearinghouse provides information on
over 1,000 support groups and networks available throughout the
world. The support groups cover such topics as addictions, bereavement,
mental health, disabilities, abuse and parenting. The book also
lists research studies and information on starting face-to-face
and online groups. An online version of the book also includes
a registry for persons interested in starting national or international
