Research at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Researchers at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation strive to develop and evaluate new knowledge for the field of psychiatric rehabilitation. Periodically, our research division invites individuals from our local community, from the continental United States, and from around the world to participate in our research projects. All research procedures and instruments have been approved by a multidisciplinary institutional review board (IRB) at Boston Univeristy prior to recruitment.
Why we need research participants?
Participation in research is essential to advance the field of psychiatric rehabilitation and to develop programs and practices to facilitate recovery from a psychiatric disability. Research data may be published in journal articles, integrated into trainings for rehabilitation providers, and reported to the federal government. Participation may contribute to the recovery process of many people whose lives have been affected by a disabling mental illness.
