The National Association of Protection and Advocacy Systems is the
membership association of the directors of three federally funded programs:
the Protection and Advocacy Systems (P&As) for persons with developmental
disabilities and the P&As for persons with mental illness, both of which
provide legal advocacy for clients; and the Client Assistance Program (CAP),
which assists clients of vocational rehabilitation services with eligibility
and legal problems.
