Training Technology: Setting an Overall Rehabilitation Goal
Mikal Cohen, Marianne Farkas, Barry Cohen, and Karen Unger
An overall rehabilitation goal is different from other rehabilitation goals in that it is a self-determined goal that motivates individuals to participate in rehabilitation and increases the likelihood that they will achieve their goal. It is a long-term goal that directs all other rehabilitation activities. This technology teaches practitioners how to assist consumers in choosing preferred residential, educational, vocational, and social environments.
