One thousand square feet of space at the Engineering Product Innovation Center (EPIC) was renovated during the summer of 2015 to create new robotics lab space. The space includes an arena for robotic testing and experimentation with a netted cage, infrared sensors, and cameras. In addition, the area also contains classrooms, collaboration spaces, a conference room, a kitchenette, storage, and an equipment area. The project included cosmetic upgrades, installation of a new MEP/IT systems, new LED lights, and new video monitoring systems.
