Engineering Product Innovation Center

The Engineering Product Innovation Center (EPIC) occupies the former Guitar Center space on the ground level, as well as a small portion of a commercial parking garage at 744 Commonwealth Avenue. This new shop facility consolidated three College of Engineering instructional machine shops at a single location. The LEED-registered project was designed to improve the teaching and learning environment; the consolidation also encourages more efficient shop management. The remainder of the space houses faculty research labs and additional office space for new faculty appointments in the College of Engineering. EPIC opened in January 2014.
