Student Packing Program

Custodial Operations, Vending Services, Housing, and Emergency Management have been working together on the unique student move-out process this year. Trucking & Grounds joined the effort lead by FMO’s Area Managers that was put in place for undergraduate and graduate residents that weren’t able to come back to retrieve their belongings.

Residents have three options for their belongings that are on campus: shipping, storing, or pick up. Many residents chose the shipping and storing option since they are no longer on campus. Over 30,000 boxes have been packed for storage and shipping so far.

The custodial team is working diligently to prepare residence halls across campus as they become available once emptied of belongings. Their  team is also working on relocating boxes for anyone who hasn’t picked up their belongings or has not responded to a secure storage location. This effort will continue through the end of the month as Custodial Operations works on turning over rooms for Fall Move-in.
