About BU CFR

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations works to establish and maintain philanthropic relationships between the University and private foundations and corporations.

Our goal is to identify and bring together prospective donors and University leaders and faculty members with shared interests and complementary needs; we assist the University administration and faculty in pursuing the most promising available funding opportunities. Our expertise in all aspects of the University's teaching, research, and public service activities as well as our knowledge of its broader institutional needs for student scholarship support, endowed faculty positions, and capital support enables us to direct prospective corporate and foundation donors to giving opportunities best suited to their philanthropic objectives.

We also work with other departments of Development and Alumni Relations and other divisions of the University administration, such as the Office of Sponsored Programs (Charles River Campus), the Office of Research Administration (Medical Campus), and the Office of Technology Development to develop the most effective relationships with University supporters as efficiently as possible.
