About Cores For Researchers

Mission

The mission of the Boston University Medical Center Research Core facilities is to provide the highest quality services to investigators through an expert, multidisciplinary faculty and cutting edge instruments and equipment. The Core facilities offer a fee-for-service collaboration, characterized by a flexible scheduling and competitive rates. These facilities operate to serve researchers within as well as outside the BUMC community. Further information about specific core facilities, instruments, and scheduling time and services at these facilities can be found through links to individual Core’s home pages. Feel free to contact specific cores with questions!

Institutional Research Cores are operated by the Provost’s Office of the Medical Campus and Medical Center, by the three schools of Boston University Medical Center, and by Boston Medical Center. Policies, strategic planning, and infrastructure support for the website are provided by the Core Advisory Committee. The CAC set up the components of the Essential Elements of Institutional Core Resources and Facilities with input from the faculty and the Dean, in accordance with NIH guidelines for shared facilities. The CAC will continue to represent the faculty of Boston University School of Medicine, BUSPH, and BUSDM in an advisory capacity to the Provost on core operations and future core needs. We appreciate any suggestions or comments submitted through our contact link.
