The BU Core Design features multiple search functions in the BU Help Bar. Standard search functions include a search of the entire BU Web as well as a search on the BU Directory. A third (and recommended) option is a search function specific to the site.
A visitor to a site simply clicks the appropriate radio button, enters a search word or phrase, and clicks the Search button. The radio button options instruct the search form on which option is selected, and search results are returned to the visitor in a page based on the Core Design.
With the BU Web at several hundred thousand pages and growing by the day, search functions are an absolute necessity on nearly on all sites. By including a family of search functions on all pages, the Core Design addresses the increasing importance of search options.
